My WORK
I am a nationally recognized speaker, writer, and strategist on business engagement in social impact and social/political issues. I help businesses evaluate and mitigate risk, craft messaging, and take action on pressing - but often divisive - social issues.
I bring to bear an MBA from Oxford University and diverse career experience, including
- My role as founding Managing Director of Texas Competes, a national model of business education and advocacy for LGBT rights in a deep-red state
- My work as a citizen activist on the economic case for paid family leave
- Speaking, writing, and thought leadership on topics such as business activism, bridge-building on divisive topics, and the intersection of business risk & reward with social-issue politics
- My role as the first Director of Giving at TOMS Shoes, where I grew the company's global shoe-giving model and designed the social enterprise investment model for the company's second product line (Eyewear)
